Projects That Tell Stories

Every building we touch has a story - whether it's breathing new life into a century-old warehouse or designing spaces that'll stand the test of time. Here's what we've been up to.

Victorian Manor Restoration
Heritage Restoration

Ashford Victorian Manor

Turned a crumbling 1890s mansion into a family home that actually works for modern living. Kept all the original moldings and that gorgeous staircase while sneaking in proper insulation and HVAC.

Greenway Office Complex
LEED Platinum

Greenway Tech Hub

This one was fun - a tech company wanted a space that didn't feel like your typical sterile office. We went all-in on natural light, living walls, and a rainwater system that handles 80% of their water needs.

Railway District Warehouse
Historic Preservation

Railway District Studios

Old grain warehouse from 1912 that nobody knew what to do with. Now it's artist studios and a cafe. Those exposed timber beams? They're the real deal, just cleaned up and reinforced.

Passive House Design
Passive House

Westside Passive Residence

Client wanted heating bills under $200 a year. Challenge accepted. Super-insulated envelope, triple-glazed windows, heat recovery ventilation - the whole nine yards. They're actually hitting that target.

Church Conversion
Adaptive Reuse

St. Michael's Community Centre

1920s church that lost its congregation. Working with the community, we transformed it into a multi-use space. Those stained glass windows still look incredible, and the acoustics are perfect for concerts.

Burnaby, BC • 2022

Lakeside Residence
Net-Zero Ready

Okanagan Lake House

Retirement home with views for days. Designed it to basically run itself - solar panels, geothermal heating, the works. The cantilever over the slope was tricky but totally worth it.

Kelowna, BC • 2024

Restaurant Design
Commercial Design

Harvest Kitchen & Bar

Farm-to-table restaurant that needed to walk the walk. Reclaimed wood from a demolished barn, energy-efficient kitchen design, and natural ventilation that actually works in our climate.

Kitsilano, Vancouver • 2023

Craftsman Restoration
Heritage Restoration

Dunbar Craftsman Revival

Classic 1920s bungalow that'd been... let's say "updated" badly in the 80s. Stripped away the aluminum siding, rebuilt the porch, brought back the original character. Found the old built-ins hiding behind drywall.

Vancouver, BC • 2022

Coworking Space
LEED Gold

Collective Workspace

Flexible workspace that needed to handle everything from solo freelancers to 20-person teams. Modular design, tons of natural light, and acoustic solutions that don't make it feel like you're in a padded cell.

Gastown, Vancouver • 2023

Laneway House
Infill Housing

Mount Pleasant Laneway

Squeezed a surprisingly spacious 2-bedroom into a tight laneway lot. High ceilings and big windows make it feel way bigger than 750 sq ft. The rooftop deck doesn't hurt either.

Vancouver, BC • 2024

Bank Building Restoration
Historic Preservation

Commerce Building Revitalization

1930s bank building that'd been sitting empty for years. The vault's now a wine cellar for the ground-floor restaurant, and those original brass fixtures? Cleaned up beautifully. Upper floors are boutique offices.

Downtown Vancouver • 2022

Mountain Cabin
Sustainable Design

Whistler Eco Retreat

Weekend cabin that had to handle deep snow and work off-grid. Solar + battery storage, wood stove backup, and enough insulation to keep you cozy at -20. The views aren't bad either.
