Working With Us

We're pretty laid-back but serious about the work. Our office is right in downtown Vancouver, easy to get to whether you're driving or taking transit. Street parking can be tricky around here, but there's a parkade just down the block.

First meetings are usually casual - we grab a coffee, you show us what you're thinking, and we talk through whether we're a good fit. Sometimes we are, sometimes we're not, and that's totally fine. We'd rather be honest upfront than waste anyone's time.

Most of our clients come through referrals, which tells you something. We've been doing this in Vancouver for a while now, and there's nothing we love more than breathing new life into old buildings while keeping them green and efficient.

Common Questions

Stuff people usually ask before reaching out

Nope, first consultation's on us. We'll spend about an hour getting to know your project, walking through what's possible, and figuring out if we're the right fit. No commitment, no pressure.

Honestly, it varies a ton. A residential project might be 6-12 months from start to finish. Heritage restoration? Could be longer since we're dealing with preservation boards and special permits. Commercial stuff depends on size and complexity. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we know what we're working with.

We work throughout BC and occasionally beyond if the project's interesting enough. Heritage work especially - those buildings don't care about geography. We're used to remote collaboration when site visits aren't practical. Just means we get better at video calls and detailed documentation.

Absolutely. That's part of what we do. City of Vancouver can be particular about heritage stuff, and LEED certification has its own process. We've been through it enough times to know what works and what doesn't. We'll handle the paperwork or guide you through it - whatever makes sense for your project.

We're kinda nerdy about old buildings and sustainability - not separately, but together. A lot of firms do one or the other. We think historic buildings deserve modern efficiency, and new construction should respect what came before. Plus we're small enough that you'll actually work with the people you meet, not get handed off to juniors after the pitch.
